Samuels & Steelman Architects, an architectural firm located on the North Fork of Long Island, has designed and built some of the region’s notable residences and wineries over the last twenty years.  The firm provides creative solutions to fit the needs, lifestyles, and budgets of its clients.

Inspired by classic design, indigenous local structures, the integrity of traditional natural materials, and the attention to well-resolved detail, the firm believes that each project should fit seamlessly into its environment. Casual or formal, appropriate layouts support the needs and sensibilities of individuals and their families.

Samuels & Steelman’s experience in the wine industry is extensive. As the North Fork emerged as an influential wine region, the firm worked closely with vineyard owners and wine makers to design several prominent tasting rooms and wine production facilities. 

Whether new construction, renovations and additions, winery or beach house, Samuels & Steelman are fully committed to serving the lifestyle and professional needs of their clients. Each project is intended to be part of the East End for decades to come.

Originally a Cutchogue “summer kid”, Tom Samuels went to Southold High School, and earned his degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.  Nancy Steelman, a west coast native, graduated from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo.  Residents of New Suffolk,. Both have volunteered extensively on local preservation and community groups and planning initiatives, and they are avid sailors.  The firm also includes Associate Ural Talgat, a Landscape Architect and Architect & Lauren McKissick, Office Manager.
